The three major U.S. stock indexes rose collectively at the close, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.52%, the Nasdaq up 0.7%, and the S&P 500 up 0.55%. Semiconductors and retail businesses saw the largest gains, with Kohl's up more than 8%, Macy's and Arm up more than 6%, Micron Technology up more than 4%, and NXP and Qualcomm up more than 3%. Cryptocurrencies and airlines saw the largest declines, with Strategy down more than 5% and Delta down more than 3%.
