The three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher, with the Nasdaq up 1.35%, the S&P 500 up 0.72%, and the Dow up 0.3%. Large technology stocks rose across the board, with Apple, Tesla, and Google up more than 2%, Nvidia, Netflix, and Amazon up more than 1%, and Meta and Microsoft up slightly. Palantir rose by about 24%, with revenue in Q4 2024 up 36% year-on-year, and its 2025 performance guidance far exceeding expectations. Most of the popular Chinese stocks rose, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index up 2.65%. Pinduoduo and Xpeng Motors rose more than 8%, Vipshop and Futu Holdings rose more than 6%, Baidu, iQiyi, Ideal Auto, and Beike rose more than 5%, Manbang and Alibaba rose more than 3%, JD.com, Weilai, and Tencent Music rose more than 2%; NetEase fell more than 2%, and Ctrip fell more than 1%.
