Reporters learned from a press conference held by the State Administration for Market Regulation today that, in response to numerous spontaneous combustion incidents involving power banks in the first half of this year, the administration established a power bank recall supervision team, traveling to Guangdong, Jiangsu, and other provinces. The team also organized market supervision departments in 11 provinces (and municipalities), including Guangdong, Hunan, and Beijing, to investigate leads, investigate defects, and initiate recalls. Influenced by the market supervision department's investigation, Shenzhen ROMOSS Technology Co., Ltd., Anker Innovations Co., Ltd., and Xiaomi Communications Technology Co., Ltd. have decided to recall over 1.35 million power banks due to safety concerns.
