Samsung nominates three semiconductor industry veterans to board of directors
Samsung Electronics has nominated Jun Young-hyun, head of its chip business, and two other semiconductor experts to join its board of directors, subject to shareholder approval, according to a regulatory filing by Samsung Electronics on Tuesday. In addition, Samsung Electronics has nominated Song Jaihyuk, president and chief technology officer of Samsung Electronics' chip business and head of its semiconductor research and development center, as a member of the board. Samsung Electronics has also nominated Lee Hyuk-Jae, a professor at Seoul National University and a former Intel design engineer, as an external director.
