On December 11, Pony.ai and GAC Aion held a signing ceremony for the Robotaxi strategic cooperation at the Panyu headquarters of GAC Group. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop a fully redundant front-mounted mass-produced Robotaxi vehicle platform based on Aion's global models and Pony.ai's seventh-generation autonomous driving software and hardware system solutions. It is planned to launch at least 1,000 Aion Robotaxi models, the first batch of which will be completed in 2025 and first landed in the Greater Bay Area, and will cover more regions and countries in the future.
