On March 25, Pony.ai released its fourth quarter and full-year financial report for 2024. In 2024, the company's total revenue reached 548 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%; the revenue from autonomous driving travel services was 53.28 million yuan, and passenger fare revenue increased significantly; adjusted R&D expenses increased by 14% year-on-year to 1.006 billion yuan, mainly used for the development of the seventh-generation Robotaxi. As of December 31, 2024, the total amount of cash equivalents and long-term and short-term financial investments reached 6.023 billion yuan. Pony.ai emphasizes the business strategy of "Robotaxi business first, Chinese market first, and first-tier cities first". In the fourth quarter, the company reached Robotaxi mass production cooperation with GAC Aion and BAIC New Energy respectively, with a single-quarter revenue of 259 million yuan.

At the conference, Feng Xingya, chairman and general manager of GAC Group, said that GAC Group will mass-produce and market L3 autonomous driving models in 2025, deliver L4 autonomous driving pre-installed mass-produced models, become a car company that promotes the large-scale operation of L4 autonomous driving products in 2026, and launch L4 autonomous driving models for individual users in 2027. Feng Xingya introduced that Haobo, a high-end brand under GAC Group, will have high-level intelligent driving as standard for all its products in 2025, and GAC Trumpchi and GAC Aion will be equipped with intelligent driving and automatic parking in 2025, and all mainstream models will be equipped with high-level intelligent driving.

GAC Group announced that it will provide shareholders of its joint-stock company Hychuang Auto Technology Co., Ltd. with shareholder loans specifically for the payment of employee wages and economic compensation according to their shareholding ratios, and GAC Aion will be entrusted to undertake the after-sales service business of Hychuang's automotive products. Specifically, GAC Group said that in order to fulfill its social responsibilities to employees and consumers, after unanimous consultation by the shareholders of its joint-stock company Hychuang Auto Technology Co., Ltd., it agreed to provide shareholders' loans specifically for the payment of employee wages and economic compensation according to their shareholding ratios, of which the company and its holding subsidiary GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. will provide loans of approximately RMB 23.8 million (subject to the actual amount incurred) according to their shareholding ratios (total shareholding of 25%). Pony.ai and GAC Aion reach strategic cooperation
On December 11, Pony.ai and GAC Aion held a signing ceremony for the Robotaxi strategic cooperation at the Panyu headquarters of GAC Group. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly develop a fully redundant front-mounted mass-produced Robotaxi vehicle platform based on Aion's global models and Pony.ai's seventh-generation autonomous driving software and hardware system solutions. It is planned to launch at least 1,000 Aion Robotaxi models, the first batch of which will be completed in 2025 and first landed in the Greater Bay Area, and will cover more regions and countries in the future.
