OpenAI and Oracle reportedly plan to start installing tens of thousands of Nvidia artificial intelligence chips in a large new data center in Texas in the coming months to promote the launch and operation of the first facility of their $100 billion "Stargate" infrastructure joint venture project. According to people familiar with the matter, by the end of 2026, the data center is expected to install 64,000 Nvidia GB200 semiconductor chips. These chips will be installed in multiple halls of the data center in stages, and the first batch of 16,000 chips are planned to be deployed before this summer.
