Nvidia's venture capital firm invests in quantum computing company Quantinuum for the first time

Amidst the accelerating global development of quantum computing, NVIDIA Corp.'s venture capital arm has made its first investment in Quantinuum, a quantum computing company controlled by Honeywell International Inc., at a valuation of $10 billion. According to a statement released on September 4th, NVIDIA's investment is part of Quantinuum's ongoing $600 million financing round, which includes new investors such as Quanta Computer and QED Investors, as well as additional investments from existing shareholders such as JPMorgan Chase and Mitsui & Co. The financing will support Quantinuum's advancement in large-scale quantum computing, including accelerating research and development efforts to achieve the next-generation quantum computing system, Helios, which will be released this year. Furthermore, the funds will help the company pioneer universal fault-tolerant quantum computing.
