Nasdaq and S&P 500 hit new closing highs, while Apple closed down 1.48%.

The three major U.S. stock indices closed higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.43%, the S&P 500 up 0.27%, and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.37%. Both the Nasdaq and S&P 500 hit new closing highs. Most large technology stocks rose, with Google up over 2%, Meta, Netflix, Nvidia, and Amazon up over 1%. Apple, which just released the iPhone 17 series, closed down 1.48%.
