Musk says massive federal layoffs have nothing to do with 'Government Efficiency'

On March 5, local time, a U.S. congressman said that Elon Musk blamed the federal government's large-scale layoffs on federal department heads during a meeting with House Republicans that evening, and said that the "Government Efficiency Department" had nothing to do with the layoffs of federal employees. Musk said that the recently announced layoffs "were not a decision made by the Government Efficiency Department" and that "all departments" were involved in the federal government's layoffs.
