On March 6, John Pitzer, Intel's vice president of investor relations, clarified the recent rumors about the delay of the release of Panther Lake, the first product based on Intel's 18A process, saying: "Panther Lake is still scheduled to be released in the second half of this year. The release time has not changed. We are very confident in the current progress." Previously, there have been rumors on the Internet about the poor yield of Intel's 18A process. In the second half of last year, Korean media broke the news that Intel's 18A process yield was only 10%, and said that Broadcom may have canceled its cooperation with Intel. The news attracted great attention in the industry at the time.
