During MWC25 Barcelona, Huawei and the Barcelona Municipal Government signed a memorandum of understanding on smart city strategic cooperation. According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on digital infrastructure connectivity, cloud computing platform construction, AI application implementation, smart cities, smart buildings, green energy and other fields, comprehensively improve the intelligence of urban management and service efficiency, achieve resource optimization and service precision, make urban management more efficient and convenient, and make the environment more livable. In addition, the two parties will jointly carry out ICT talent training and the construction of an innovative ecosystem, relying on Huawei Spanish Academy, the first digital talent empowerment platform built by Huawei in Europe, to form a strategic synergy with IT Academy, a top technology education brand under Barcelona Activa.
