California-based electric car maker Faraday Future announced Sunday that it will ship two FX 6 prototypes from China to its U.S. headquarters this month.
The shipment of the prototype test vehicles also means that the FX 6 model will officially enter the development and testing phase in the U.S.
Once shipped to the U.S., the FX team will validate the FX 6 model for compliance and conduct in-depth testing in key areas such as ADAS and autonomous driving, powertrain, smart cabin and overall user experience.
Faraday Future said that future FX 6 models will be fully assembled at its plant in Hanford, California, which is currently being used for FF 91 2.0 production.
