Recently, the patent for the "split flying car" jointly applied by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and the Intelligent Transportation Laboratory of Tsinghua University was officially disclosed. This patent is based on a project jointly developed by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and the Intelligent Transportation Laboratory of Tsinghua University. Different from most integrated flying cars, this three-body composite wing flying car adopts a modular split design concept for the first time, and pioneered the introduction of a three-body docking mechanism. The flying car is mainly composed of three parts: a flight module (including propellers and wings), a cockpit module, and a driving module. In addition, this three-body composite wing flying car abandons traditional control devices such as steering wheels and throttles, and supports two operating modes of flying and driving in unmanned driving mode, which not only greatly reduces the difficulty of driving, but also provides a new solution for alleviating urban traffic congestion.
