Agency: Southeast Asia's smartphone market will grow by 11% in 2024, with OPPO topping the annual list for the first time
Market analysis agency Canalys released a report that in 2024, the Southeast Asian smartphone market rebounded strongly, with manufacturers shipping 96.7 million units, an increase of 11% year-on-year, ending two consecutive years of decline. OPPO led the market for the first time, with 16.9 million units shipped, accounting for 18% of the market share, a year-on-year increase of 14%. Samsung followed closely behind, with 16.6 million units shipped, gaining 17% of the market share. Transsion and Xiaomi tied for third place, each with 16% of the market share, while vivo ranked among the top five with a 13% market share.
