Agency: Latin American smartphone market shipments increased by 2% year-on-year in the second quarter
According to the latest data from Canalys, smartphone shipments in Latin America grew slightly by 2% year-over-year to 34.3 million units in the second quarter of 2025. Samsung shipped 11 million units, an 8% year-over-year increase, with the Galaxy A06 and A16 models accounting for over 60% of shipments. Xiaomi ranked second with 6.7 million units, an 8% year-over-year increase, setting a new record. Motorola ranked third, with shipments declining by 10% to 5.1 million units. Honor and Transsion ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, but with divergent trends: Honor saw a significant 70% increase, reaching a record 2.9 million units, while Transsion saw a 23% decline, with shipments reaching 2.4 million units.
