Agency: High-end autonomous driving and logistics demand drive the lidar market, with an estimated output value of US$5.352 billion in 2029

On January 20, according to TrendForce's latest "2025 Infrared Sensing Application Market and Brand Strategy" report, LiDAR is currently mainly used in passenger cars and unmanned taxis (Robo-taxis) in the automotive market, while in the industrial market it supports applications such as robots, factory automation and logistics. Driven by Level 3 and more advanced autonomous driving systems and logistics transportation, the LiDAR market output value is estimated to grow from US$1.181 billion in 2024 to US$5.352 billion in 2029, with a compound annual growth rate of 35%.
