7-Eleven is planning to build at least 500 electric vehicle charging stations in the U.S. and Canada by the end of 2022, creating one of the largest retail fast-charging networks in the country, the company said on Tuesday.
This would be a massive expansion compared to the 22 charging stations it currently operates in 14 stores in four U.S. states. 7-Eleven currently operates about 16,000 stores in North America and approximately 77,000 worldwide.
