The Vietnamese government has asked Korean tech giant Samsung and other large companies in Vietnam to find the COVID-19 vaccine to protect workers in industrial parks amid the increasingly serious pandemic situation.
In the afternoon of May 28, Vietnam's Minister of Health Nguyễn Thanh Long held an online video meeting to communicate with vaccine suppliers Moderna Inc. as well as representatives of embassies, associations, foreign direct investment enterprises, and foreign companies on the supply of COVID-19 vaccine.
The leaders from the country's Ministry of Health then also discussed with the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Korean Embassy, the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM), the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam ), the British Chamber of Commerce, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Samsung, SK, LG and other companies in Vietnam about supplying COVID-19 vaccine to Vietnam and vaccinating workers in factories and industrial zones.
