According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics, the market inventory of smartphones with wireless charging capabilities will reach a record 1 billion units by the end of 2021.
Smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, and technology providers such as Infineon, MediaTek, Samsung SDI, and Qualcomm drive the uprising of wireless charging with their proprietary solutions.
Data shows that wireless charging-equipped devices are most popular in the Asia Pacific, with about 49 percent of the global market inventory; North America has 21 percent of the market inventory, and Western Europe accounts for only 16 percent.
