Asian Tech Press (SEP 13) -- Silicon Labs and Chinese IoT company LifeSmart announced that they have partnered to help optimize LifeSmart's new smart home control panel Nature Mini Pro's wireless connectivity to enable whole-home intelligence.
Nature Mini Pro is optimized to support multi-protocol gateways using Silicon Labs' Zigbee EFR32 MG21 system-on-chip (SoC) and EZRadioPRO Sub-GHz transceiver (Si4438). It can integrate Sub-GHz and Zigbee mesh networks. Up to 500 Sub-G nodes can be connected in star and Zigbee mesh networks, enabling a wider range of connectivity and whole-home intelligent control for 200 square meters homes.
Silicon Labs' EZRadioPRO Sub-GHz transceiver family provides long-range coverage for LifeSmart's Nature Mini Pro while ensuring low power consumption. Zigbee SoC help extends wireless signal coverage with 20 dBm transmit output power and -104.5 dBm receive sensitivity and help engineers speed time to market with Silicon Labs' Simplicity Studio 5 integrated development environment.
With strong ecosystem compatibility, Nature Mini Pro can easily connect to devices that support third-party Zigbee ZHA or Zigbee 3.0 standard protocols, as well as a variety of LifeSmart's Sub-GHz end devices, including door locks, window shades, light switches, carbon monoxide detectors and more.
In addition, Nature Mini Pro supports local intelligent voice recognition without connecting to the cloud, thereby enhancing user privacy protection and avoiding the impact of Internet access restrictions.
