At the Qualcomm Technology and Collaboration Summit 2021, Qualcomm introduced its first dedicated IoT modem solution to support 5G connectivity.

Qualcomm said the Qualcomm 315 5G IoT modem was designed with industrial and enterprise application requirements in mind. With top gigabit performance, low power consumption, and efficient heat dissipation, it enables a new generation of high-rate, robust, and high-performing IoT solutions.

The product is reportedly expected to be commercially ready in the second half of 2021.
