Asia Tech Wire (June 14) -- Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company needs to build special versions of the Cybertruck for China and the European Union.
Musk said Thursday at the annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas, that Cybertruck deliveries are ramping up, with the company shipping a record 1,300 units per week.
The company aims to boost production of the electric pickup to 2,500 units per week by the end of the year.
In addition, Musk said Tesla needs to build special versions of the Cybertruck for China and the European Union, and will begin production of a non-foundation version of the Cybertruck in the next quarter.
