Asia Tech Wire (Aug 1) -- Tesla CEO Elon Musk denied that his artificial intelligence startup xAI is considering an acquisition of Character.AI on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

He responded to a related tweet Wednesday saying, "The [Mis]Information strikes again. xAI is not considering an acquisition of Character AI."

This comes after The Information, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that xAI is considering an acquisition of California-based artificial intelligence chatbot startup Character.AI.
