Coinbase Commerce, Coinbase's merchant services platform, has added support for dogecoin payments, according to media reports.

According to its announcement, Dogecoin is now the seventh cryptocurrency available for merchants to accept payments on the Coinbase Commerce e-commerce portal.

The platform currently supports Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), as well as Stablecoin DAI (DAI) and USD Coin (USDC).

Through integration with the Coinbase website, Coinbase Commerce customers can convert crypto payments to USD, EUR, GBP, or USDC without leaving the e-commerce portal.

In March 2020, almost two years after Coinbase was launched, Coinbase Commerce had 8,000 retailers on board and processed over $200 million in transactions.
