Asian Tech Press (Dec 17) -- According to the latest data from Lazada, Alibaba's flagship e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, the annual active consumers of Lazada have grown by 80% to 130 million in the past 18 months. Monthly active users have also increased by more than 70% to 159 million in the past 18 months.
Lazada Group CEO Chun Li said that Lazada will serve 300 million Southeast Asian consumers in the future and achieve an average annual GMV growth target of US$100 billion.
Lazada Group is an international e-commerce firm owned by Alibaba Group that was started in 2012 by Maximilian Bittner, Mads Faurholt, Stefan Bruun, and Raphael Strauch with the support of Rocket Internet.
