IM Motors expects to be ready for mass production of L3 self-driving solutions by 2026

Asia Tech Wire (Oct 28) -- Chinese electric vehicle maker IM Motors on Monday announced that it has become the first brand in the industry to have mass-production capabilities for L2, L3 and L4 intelligent driving at the same time.

The company said that its L2+ advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) has been launched this month in all of its models across China with a "map-free urban NOA".

IM Motors revealed that it has already started road tests for L2+ autonomous driving in the European market.

In addition, IM Motors expects to be ready for mass production of its L3 autonomous driving solution by 2026, and will receive the first L4 driverless road test licenses" within the year.

Founded in 2020, IM Motors has already received backing from investors including Alibaba, CATL and Chinese state-owned automaker SAIC Motor.
