Asian Tech Press (Oct 19) -- U.S.-blacklisted Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies Co. announced on Monday that it has successfully signed a deal to win the world's largest energy storage project in Saudi Arabia.
The Chinese company said its subsidiary Huawei Digital Power and SEPCOIII successfully signed a contract for the energy storage project in Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Project at the Global Digital Power Summit 2021 held in Dubai on Oct 16.
Huawei and SEPCOIII will work together to help Saudi Arabia to build a global clean energy and green economy center.
The energy storage scale of the project reaches 1300MWh, which is the largest energy storage project in the world so far and the largest off-grid energy storage project in the world.
