Asia Tech Wire (Apr 17) -- Chinese electric truck maker Windrose Technology recently announced the completion of a $110 million Series B financing round.

Investors participating in the round include HSBC, Boston-based HITE Hedge Asset Management, Australia's Goodman Group and others.

This is a new round of financing for Windrose, following the Series B1 round that closed in December 2023.

So far, the company has accumulated $110 million in Series B funding.

Windrose said it will use the funds to accelerate the development and delivery of its first electric long-haul truck, which has a range of 670km under full load of 49 tons, and to drive vehicle testing and operational route testing in China, the U.S. and Europe.

In addition, it will accelerate the deployment of its supply chain as well as the construction of its production capacity in Europe and the U.S.

Founded in September 2021, Windrose is a technology company focusing on the research and development, sales and operation of new energy self-driving heavy trucks.

Late last year, news broke that Windrose planned to go public in the U.S. in 2024 to raise at least $200 million.
