Asian Tech Press (Nov 18) -- The United States and Malaysia said the two countries plan to sign a cooperation agreement early next year to improve the transparency, resilience and security of the semiconductor and manufacturing supply chain.
Malaysia plays a key role in the global supply chain for semiconductors, electronics, healthcare products and other critical products.
Malaysia's chip assembly industry accounts for one-tenth of total global trade, more than $20 billion. This initiative is an important first step for both countries to work together to address immediate and long-term supply chain challenges.
