Asia Tech Wire (Sep 24) -- Taiwan's Hon Hai, often known as Foxconn, said it's about to unveil the game-changing electric car, the Model D.

This year's Hon Hai Tech Day event will take place on October 8-9.

Hon Hai posted a short teaser video of its new electric car, the Model D, on social media platforms late Monday.

According to the video, Hon Hai will likely reveal the Model D during Hon Hai Tech Day.

The company said, "At Foxconn, innovation moves fast—get set for a game-changing EV MODEL D reveal at HHTD24 on October 8-9!"

Hon Hai is continuing to deliver the Model T electric bus and the Model C-based Luxgen n7 electric car to customers, and will mass produce the crossover prototype Model B in the fourth quarter of this year.
