Asia Tech Wire (Sep 27) -- Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said on Thursday that the company plans to invest $3.3 billion to build two new data centers and expand its existing campus in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
The two new data centers will sit in Dorchester County, in which Alphabet will invest $2 billion.
Additionally Alphabet will spend $1.3 billion to expand its data center in Berkeley County.
A statement indicated that Alphabet's investment would create 200 new operational jobs in Dorchester County.
