WeRide’s new mass-produced Robotaxi GXR starts fully unmanned large-scale commercial operation in Beijing
On February 24, WeRide's new generation of mass-produced Robotaxi "GXR" was officially approved to carry out "no one in the car" autonomous driving travel charging service in Beijing, covering the core area of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, including important stations such as the city's high-speed rail station. GXR is WeRide's second purely unmanned commercial operation Robotaxi model in Beijing, and it is also the first large-scale purely unmanned commercial application in China after the Uber platform was launched in Abu Dhabi in December last year. In addition to urban roads, WeRide GXR has also been approved to carry out Robotaxi commercial charging operations in Beijing covering Beijing Daxing International Airport and other high-speed sections.
