Toyota Motor Corporation recently announced that its next-generation technology test city, "Woven City," under construction in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, will open on September 25th. The initial residents, primarily Toyota personnel, will move in, with the first phase (approximately 47,000 square meters) ultimately accommodating approximately 360 people. General visitors will be welcome after fiscal 2026. Toyota also announced 12 new companies joining the project, including rocket development innovator Interstellar Technologies, Denso, Toyota Motor East, Toyota Motor Kyushu, and several other Toyota Group companies.
