Toyota to cut steel prices for parts makers

Toyota Motor Corporation has decided to reduce the price of steel sheets supplied to parts manufacturers in the first half of fiscal 2025 (April to September) by about 15,000 yen per ton compared with the second half of fiscal 2024 (October 2024 to March 2025). This is the second consecutive quarter of price cuts, taking into account factors such as falling steel raw material prices. The decision was communicated to some business partners on the 25th.
