To support Argentina's economic reform, the World Bank and the IMF each provided over US$10 billion in support
On April 11, local time, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund announced arrangements to provide Argentina with more than 10 billion US dollars in financial support to support Argentina's economic reforms. The World Bank announced a $12 billion package of support to Argentina to support economic reforms and encourage the government to take measures to promote job creation. The World Bank said in a statement that the package of support for Argentina marked "a strong vote of confidence in the Argentine government's efforts to stabilize and modernize the economy." The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a 48-month, $20 billion Extended Fund Arrangement (EFF) agreement and immediately disbursed $12 billion to Argentina. The first assessment is expected to be conducted in June 2025, when an additional allocation of approximately $2 billion will be made.
