According to the Hefei Daily, on March 28, Hefei Heyi Aviation Co., Ltd. received the world's first civil unmanned aerial vehicle (eVTOL) operation certificate (OC) issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, crossing the last threshold of commercial operation. The person in charge of Heyi Aviation introduced that Heyi Aviation is committed to providing the qualifications and capabilities for safe, standardized and legal commercial operation of unmanned manned aircraft. In the future, Heyi Aviation will officially launch commercial manned services at operating points such as Luogang Park in Hefei. In July 2024, Ehang Intelligent announced that the Civil Aviation Administration of China had accepted the OC certificate applications submitted by its two subsidiaries, namely Ehang General Aviation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ehang focusing on UAM operations, and Heyi Aviation, a joint venture of Ehang in Hefei. The OC certificate is the last condition for the commercial operation of eVTOL. Previously, Ehang Intelligent had successively obtained the type certificate (TC), standard airworthiness certificate (AC), and production license (PC), becoming the world's first manned eVTOL with "three complete certificates". Previously, EHang Intelligent stated in its 2024 annual report that at the same time, more customers are actively preparing for OC applications and are committed to conducting commercial flight operations in more cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taiyuan, Wenzhou, and Weihai in the future.
