The three major U.S. stock indexes closed slightly higher, with the Dow up 0.07% and up 1.2% this week; the Nasdaq up 0.52% and up 0.17% this week; and the S&P 500 up 0.08% and up 0.51% this week. Most of the popular technology stocks rose, with Tesla up more than 5%, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft up more than 1%. Auto manufacturing, consumer electronics, and space concept stocks rose the most, with Rivian and Lucid up more than 6%, Lotus up more than 5%, Boeing up more than 3%, and Gauss Electronics up more than 2%. Metal raw materials, semiconductor equipment and materials fell the most, with Nucor Steel down more than 6%, Kaiser Aluminum down more than 4%, Alcoa, Contech, and ASML down more than 2%.
