The EU has made a final anti-subsidy ruling on Indian single-mode optical fiber cables and adjusted anti-dumping duties

On June 11, 2025, the European Commission issued an announcement, making a final anti-subsidy ruling on single-mode optical fiber cables originating in India, deciding to impose anti-subsidy duties of 3.7%-8.1% on the products involved. At the same time, the anti-dumping duties on the Indian products involved were adjusted to 2.9%-8.8%. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code of the products involved is ex 8544 70 00 (TARIC codes are 8544700010 and 8544700091). The subsidy investigation period for this case is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2020 to the end of the subsidy investigation period. The announcement will take effect from the day after it is issued.
