OpenAI plans to reduce its revenue share with commercial partners like Microsoft from 20% to 8% by 2030, thereby freeing up at least $50 billion (approximately RMB 356.22 billion at the current exchange rate) in revenue for itself. Public data shows that since 2019, Microsoft has invested at least $13 billion (approximately RMB 92.618 billion at the current exchange rate) in OpenAI and shared revenue from ChatGPT and its API. Furthermore, Microsoft now views OpenAI as a competitor and is increasing its reliance on its own AI models. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and AI chief Mustafa Suleiman have pledged to make "significant investments" in self-developed AI chips and models.
