OpenAI opens memory function to free users of ChatGPT
OpenAI updated its support document yesterday, announcing the upgrade of ChatGPT's memory function, which will be open to ChatGPT users for free, so that users' past conversations can be better preserved and referenced. Note: This feature was previously limited to paid subscribers such as ChatGPT Plus and Pro. According to the official support document, starting from June 3, 2025, this feature will be gradually opened to logged-in free users. ChatGPT can not only remember the user's previous specific instructions (such as not using dashes), but also automatically quote relevant content in new conversations to ensure that replies are more targeted and coherent.
