Nvidia recently submitted a document to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, responding to the new U.S. regulations on wafer foundry in China, saying that it does not expect Nvidia's business or product sales in China to be affected. The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) recently announced a revision of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), requiring more due diligence procedures related to advanced computing integrated circuits (ICs), and also published a list of approved IC design entities, whose chips will not be subject to additional restrictions. Nvidia stated in the document that the company is not affected by the additional due diligence procedures because it is already an approved IC design entity.
