Nomura: SK Hynix's first quarter results may be better than expected, raising the company's target price

Nomura wrote in a report that SK Hynix's first-quarter results may be better than expected, partly due to increasing demand for artificial intelligence chips in China after DeepSeek launched a new large-scale language model. The United States may impose tariffs on semiconductors after April, which has also spawned some emergency orders for cost-sensitive personal computer applications. Nomura raised its target price for the Korean chipmaker by 11% to 300,000 won and maintained a buy rating.
