Justin Hotard, who was recently named head of Intel's artificial intelligence business, will replace Pekka Lundmark as Nokia's chief executive, a surprise appointment as the network equipment maker struggles to recover from a long-term slump in orders from phone operators. Lundmark, 61, will step down on March 31 after more than four years in the job, and Hotard will take over the next day, Espoo, Finland-based Nokia said in a statement on Monday. The outgoing CEO will continue to serve as an adviser to Hotard until the end of the year.
