NIO: There is no plan to use Nvidia's Thor smart driving chip at present

Li Bin, chairman and CEO of NIO, said at the NIO 2024 fourth quarter and full-year earnings conference call that starting with ET9, the company will gradually use self-developed chips. ET9 will be the first to use the self-developed Shenji NX9031 intelligent driving chip, and subsequent models will also use self-developed chips. There is currently no plan to use NVIDIA's Thor intelligent driving chip. Officials previously stated that compared with the current industry flagship intelligent driving chip, the "Shenji NX9031" has an end-side reasoning capability of one chip equal to four chips and two chips equal to eight chips.
