At the close of Hong Kong stocks, the Hang Seng Index rose 1.75%, and the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 2.59%. The pharmaceutical sector led the gains, with WuXi AppTec and JD.com rising more than 7%, Meituan and Vanke rising more than 5%, and Alibaba rising more than 4%.
