Google launches AI-powered search for US users

Google announced on May 20 that starting from that day, all US users will be able to activate "AI mode" in Google Search and Chrome browser. AI mode is a tab in search where users can interact directly with AI models, similar to ChatGPT. Google positions this product as a space where users can ask more complex questions and ask in-depth questions. Over time, Google will introduce features in AI mode into AI Overviews, using AI to answer some questions on the search homepage.
