Europe's largest pension fund ABP sold its entire 571 million euro ($585 million) stake in Tesla Inc. in the third quarter of 2024, in part because of disagreement with Elon Musk's pay package.
An ABP spokesperson said Sunday, "We had a problem" with Musk's pay package.
The fund also considered costs, returns and responsible investment requirements when deciding to sell its investments.
Last June, ABP voted against Musk's compensation package, calling it "controversial and exceptionally high."
