Ericsson and Lenovo reach settlement in patent lawsuit
Ericsson announced on April 3 that it had reached a settlement agreement with Lenovo Group to resolve a patent licensing dispute between the two parties regarding a multi-year global patent cross-licensing agreement. As part of the settlement agreement, all lawsuits and administrative proceedings currently filed by the two companies in multiple countries, including those pending at the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), will be withdrawn. Ericsson said it expects to recognize financial impacts starting in the second quarter of 2025, and the remaining patent licensing disputes will be fully resolved through arbitration proceedings between the two parties.
