Counterpoint today released a report on smartphone data for each region in Q3 2024, saying that the global smartphone market grew 2% year-on-year in the quarter, with shipments reaching 307 million units. Specifically, the following characteristics are presented: global smartphone revenue grew 10% year-on-year, and the average selling price grew 7%. Both revenue and average selling price hit record highs. Samsung shipments continued to lead the market, accounting for 19% of sales. Apple led in revenue and set its highest record for third-quarter shipments, revenue and average selling price. Xiaomi ranked third, with revenue growth exceeding the growth rate of shipments.
